Youtube makes some changes!

Ok, so I was recently looking around on Youtube to see which of my old gaming videos my brother and I made were small enough to get uploaded when I came across a rather cool feature that they had changed. For the longest time the upload limit for files has been 100MB and 10 minutes long. But they have increased that file limit size to 1GB! This was a pretty cool change and I have been wondering for a while when they were going to up the limit for how big files were that got uploaded to the site even though they are keeping the length of the files to 10 minutes.

Aside from just upping the file size limit to the uploads you also now have the ability to change around and edit the meta data for your video which is being uploaded. This is great I think because of the fact that you can get that stuff exactly how you like it while you are waiting for your video to finish uploading thus having it ready by the time your video comes up online. Also with the new updater you now have the ability to upload up to 10 videos at once which was a cool little plus for me when I was uploading all the old gaming videos.

Just incase you are a bit curious about the videos I was talking about that my brother and I made, you can check out THIS POST in the forums that pretty much explains it all as well as has links to all the videos with an option to stream or download them as well.

You can read about this release from the Youtube Team yourself here where they officially announced the changes. If only they will up the length limit for the files to be greater than 10 minutes I think it will be so much more amazing than it already is! (and not forgetting about a possibility for higher quality such as HD of course!) But this is a big step in the right direction!
